It is with a very heavy heart that following on from the Prime Minister’s statement this evening, we will be closed to all face to face enquiries via our shop front with immediate effect.
We are continuing to offer doorstep deliveries so if you need any help please call us (01572) 722240.
The Government has asked businesses to continue with ”Providing essential services in the home, especially to the vulnerable. In these situations those that visit the home should abide by strict social distancing rules and keep a minimum of 2 meters away from the householder(s).”
As a result we can only enter your home (and therefore offer a connection service) if you are elderly or vulnerable.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us especially over the recent weeks. We have been rushed off our feet and we have been delighted to help so many people in our local community who were isolated and needed help.
Stay safe, from all the team at Knights.

Prince Charles and Duchess of Cornwall visited Rutland today and & we had the chance to welcome them to our lovely town of Oakham!
We dusted off the bunting and had our blue, cream and red SMEG fridges in the window ready to welcome the Royal couple! Even our George cleaner donned a crown for the day!
Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall arrived in Oakham at midday and we were treated to a Royal drivepast!! Charles and Camilla also came into the shop (or were they lookalikes!!) to have a look at our Summer Sale which is on at the moment! They took a particular shine to our Roberts Radio in Jubilee Red!

Digital Drop In Day
Rutland goes digital next month. The team here at Knights of Oakham will be holding a digital drop in day on Wednesday 6th July where all the team will be on hand to give information and answer any questions you might have about the digital switchover. Please pop in and see us!
And don’t forget, if you buy a new TV from Knights of Oakham the service team will deliver for free within 24 hours of purchase as well as disposing of your old TV if needed, This is a service we offer on all large appliances, all year round! We are also offering retuning packages in August too.
What does going Digital mean?
The existing analogue TV signal will be switched off and replaced by a new stronger digital signal. It means that almost everyone will be able to receive digital TV through an aerial (Freeview).
What are the benefits?
Digital TV offers new ways to enjoy your TV, primarily a greater choice of TV channels. Households are able to received on average 40 TV channels for free with digital TV.
How will the switchover affect me?
Most of Rutland is served by the Waltham transmitter which is switching over in 2 stages on 17th August 2011 and 31st August 2011.
On 17th August, BBC channels will be switched off and you will need to return your digital equipment to pick up the available channels. On 31st August the remaining analogue channels are switched off and you will need to retune your digital equipment again to pick up additional channels. To keep your TV service you will need to convert your TV to a digital TV before this date.
