Televisions in more than 800,000 East Midlands homes may have been affected by work to upgrade transmitters.
Several transmitters, centred on Waltham near Melton Mowbray, were switched off from midnight. Anyone affected will need to retune their Freeview boxes to restore services and some people may lose channels for several hours. The work is being done to improve the 4G mobile phone service. Anyone affected should have display messages warning of the changes from television services.

It’s a good idea to retune your Freeview TV or box regularly to make sure your channel list is up to date. If you are unsure what to do, please give us a call. We can help over the phone and also offer a retuning service to our customers.
We are here to help. Please contact a member of the Knights of Oakham team on 01572 722240 or pop into the shop on Oakham High Street.
